Best described as nu-grunge/rock...but with class.
Formed in 2003 from the ashes of other South
East London bands, Mitch are best known for their
stunning live performences, which are full of
energy each note and lyric are performed with
total conviction and soul.
The future looks bright for the band, with gigs
all around London, airplay on Totalrock Radio
& Braingell Radio, two EPs available and two
new MP3s currently available.
As mentioned, the live shows are where Mitch
really come into their own.
Their finest moments have come from a sold out
Leicester Sq. gig and playing at the 2005 Strumpfest
where they were on the bill with bands such as
Roadstar (formerly Hurricane Party) and Thunder.
Currently there are two shows booked for January
and March 2006, at the Purple Turtle, Camden and
Leicester Sq. respectivly, it's a very exciting
time for the lads.
Unfortunatly, life wasnt always this peachy for
the band. In mid 2005 the band had stopped gigging
and the band were having problems. Creative differences
with former bassist XXXX meant that the band were
very close to splitting up.
Several replacements were tried, but no one could
either fit into the band or were unfortunatly
unable to commit to Mitch in the long term.
After worrying times, a new bassist has been
found in the shape of XXXX joined the fold and
the line up was once again complete and new songs
were being written.
Studio time has been booked and the band will
enter the studio in January 2006 to record X tracks
and have ambitions to play further afeild, such
as Manchester.
Next time you hear that Mitch are playing near
you, go out, get some beers in and rock out to
one of Londons most exciting bands!
